The Ethereum Torch is now lit, and the celebration has already taken place. ETHPH Mindanao, ETHPH, and DDC joined the global community in marking ten years of Ethereum. The room felt alive as builders, students, and Web3 supporters came together to honor a decade of growth and innovation.
The Torch served as a special NFT that honored the people who shaped Ethereum’s first decade. It moved from wallet to wallet for ten days, with each torchbearer holding it for twenty four hours before passing it on. The first torchbearer was ethereumJoseph, setting the start of a worldwide relay that showed the strength of the community.
On July 30, the Torch was burned to mark Ethereum’s tenth year. A commemorative NFT opened for the public, giving everyone a chance to own a piece of the moment.
We also held a local gathering and watch party for the anniversary stream. The crowd looked back on how Ethereum changed the internet. People talked about the rise of DeFi, the impact of NFTs and DAOs, and the steady growth that now reaches more than twenty four million daily transactions.
The event showed how far Ethereum has come and how strong the Mindanao community is becoming. It felt like a small part of a much bigger story, shared across the world.
A decade down. Many more to build.
