Speedrun Ethereum Davao was a blast. On August 22, 2025, USeP became the hub for developers, students, and blockchain enthusiasts to dive into Ethereum development alongside ETHPH, ETHPH Mindanao, and Davao DeFi Community. From hands-on dApp building and EVM deep dives to grassroots ecosystem talks and smart contract security challenges, the energy was unstoppable.

Participants explored end-to-end dApp development, mastered Ethereum’s core features, and learned how to avoid common pitfalls. Mentorship from Buidl Guild members, supported by the Ethereum Foundation, offered real-world guidance, while collaborative sessions allowed attendees to experiment on open-source projects.

Speaker Highlights:

  • Austin Griffith – One of the most respected DevRel leaders in Web3, Austin has guided thousands of developers worldwide in building their first onchain projects. Mindanao devs and educators had the chance to learn directly from him in a live session.

  • Doni Jaldon – Lead Security Researcher at Sherlock and Founding Member of Blackthorn. Doni led sessions on Ethereum security, EVM opcodes, and live CTF walkthroughs, giving builders a direct line to global-level expertise.

  • Christine Erispe (0xDanki) – Core and Tech Lead of ETHPH, guiding participants through EVM fundamentals and empowering both beginners and experienced developers to understand Ethereum’s building blocks.

  • Rubz Comms – Founding Member of Davao DeFi Community, sharing insights on local adoption, ecosystem opportunities, and how to nurture a strong blockchain movement in Mindanao.
